Uniform Information

The school has a uniform that is suitable to be worn for the many activities that pupils take part in during a busy school day. Several items of uniform, displaying the Estfeld logo, are available from School Trends using the following link.

https://www.schooltrends.co.uk/uniform/TickhillEstfeldPrimarySchoolDN119JA

School bags, ties and hats can be purchased from the school directly. Please log in to your ParentPay and make a payment. On receipt of this payment, we will issue your child with the item or items you have ordered.

PE kit is to be worn on PE days and uniform for the remainder of the week.

School Bags

School will provide your child with their first Book Bag and Drawstring Bag in Reception. When a replacement is needed, please purchase via the school office. Only the school bags with our logo are used in school. This is vital to keep cloakrooms tidy and safe, as large bags cause a fire hazard.

Pupils in Reception and Key Stage One use a Book Bag and Drawstring Bag.

Pupils in Key Stage Two use a Drawstring Bag but may require a second for swimming or spare shoes.

As we attend many inter-school activities it is important that our pupils wear comfortable clothing that ensures they are safe and unrestricted. It is also important that they look smart and presentable as they are representatives of the school.

Clothing and Personal Property

Unless requested by a teacher for something special we do not allow children to bring toys or other items from home, as things get broken or lost so easily and this causes upset. You do not need to provide your child with stationery. School will provide all writing materials that your child needs. Novelty items will be sent home.

Please ensure that all clothing and possessions are clearly marked with your child's name.

Jewellery

The wearing of jewellery, such as rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings (other than one pair of plain studs for pierced ears) * etc is prohibited. Watches may be worn.

Watches and earrings must be removed for PE or Games. If earrings cannot be removed by the pupil, they must not be worn to school on PE/Games days.

Please do not get ears pierced when children are in Year Five as they will be unable to swim in earrings and this really is a vital life skill.

Hair

We do not allow extreme haircuts (grade two or less or coloured hair). Long hair must be tied back in school at all times.

Water Bottles

All pupils should bring a plain water bottle with drinking spout. Please do not buy any bottles with novelties attached. The bottles need to be:

· no larger than half a litre in capacity

· plain drinking bottles – no spray bottles

· not soft Smiggle bottles – they will not stand up on a desk when half-full

· practical
